OUTPUT SITUATION

We were commissioned by Dialectica to support the renowned international strategy consultancy Kearney in the area of technical service procurement. Dialectica acted as the client, Kearney was the direct project partner.

 

Kearney aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of current best practices and efficiency levers in technical service procurement. This should make it possible to implement modern, efficient procurement processes internally and with customers.

OBJECTIVE

Our assignment included the comprehensive analysis and provision of reliable data and facts to strengthen Kearney's consulting work in a targeted manner. The aim was to create a sound basis for decision-making for the modern and efficient management of Technical Service Procurement.

IMPLEMENTATION

We carried out the following activities as part of the project:

 

  • Provision of sound data and benchmarking results for the operating model

  • Development of savings potential through volume bundling and regional consolidation

  • Analysis and recommendation of make-or-buy strategies to optimize resource allocation and supply chain efficiency in technical service

  • Advice on the selection and definition of specific KPIs and ratios for the effective management of Technical Service Procurement in order to make transparency, efficiency and compliance measurable

RESULT & NEXT STEPS

Our analysis has provided sound data-based findings that enable Kearney to strategically modernize Technical Service Procurement for industrial end customers.
